We can tell a lot - that says the economy.

A central location meets first-class business.

Our location will ensure that you get off to an excellent start. In the heart of the Rhine-Ruhr region between Düsseldorf and Cologne, companies in Monheim am Rhein benefit from our outstanding infrastructure as well as our extensive regional sales and labour market. Nine million people and nearly 400,000 companies are located within a radius of a mere 50 kilometres. Then there’s Europe’s other major centres like Amsterdam, Brussels, Frankfurt and Luxembourg, which are no more than two and half hours’ drive away – the perfect recipe for a successful business!

Less is more.

Our idea of business friendly: Making our already low trade tax even lower. As of January 2018, we’ve lowered our trade tax by another 10 points to a current level of 250. Yet another step towards making the thriving business centre of Monheim am Rhein even more attractive. Numerous companies from Germany and around the world have in recent years selected Monheim am Rhein as their place of business. Numerous other companies have also shown considerable interest in relocating to our city.

Choose from the full spectrum of qualified professionals.

The availability of qualified professionals is of crucial importance for companies looking for a suitable location. Monheim am Rhein excels here as well as it is within the immediate vicinity of the metropolitan centres of Düsseldorf and Cologne. Companies will find the qualified professionals they need within a large commuter belt: From high-tech companies with a workforce of 900 to a joinery of 7 employees. Furthermore, the Academy for Business Management (AFUM) gives Monheim companies the opportunity to have their employees further part-time training within the immediate vicinity of their company headquarters.

We’re on the Rhine - not the edge of the world.

Our idyllic city is located on the Rhine River, but is by no means the edge of the world. Business partners from 56 countries and four continents can choose from numerous non-stop arrivals and departures at the nearby Düsseldorf and Cologne/Bonn airports. The city is also directly connected to the European motorway network via the A 3, A 59 and A 542 motorways. Monheim am Rhein is also easily accessible with public transit offering frequent, regular service.

The perfect place to roll up your sleeves.

Attractive properties where you need them.

The city of Monheim am Rhein offers companies a wide range of possibilities for further development: Today, 1,500 square metres of commercial space for immediate development is available for purchase. Two revitalisation projects will provide an additional 70,000 square metres of space in the years to come. And two developers will create more than 25,000 square metres of office space by the year 2020.

In the past ten years, a good 400,000 square metres of commercial space has been made accessible; a large portion of which has already been marketed. The Montag-Stiftung Urbane Räume (foundation) recognised the Rheinpark commercial site as a model European project. The location appeals with its decisive advantages in terms of urban development while offering companies of all kinds a high-profile venue: A water axis with its sophisticated design connects the properties directly with the banks of the Rhine River while the catering establishments on the Monberg hill attract guests with their unique Caribbean flair combined with a traditional beer garden atmosphere. Although most of the existing office space is already used in the Rheinpark, there are still units available every now and again.

Together with further office and commercial space throughout the city, investors and companies will find a large selection of attractive locations for almost all sectors and company sizes.
